เรามักถูกสอนกันมาแต่เด็กว่าการเกิดเป็นมนุษย์นั้นเป็นสิ่งที่โชคดี แต่ก็ต้องยอมรับความจริงว่าโลกนั้นไม่ได้มีแค่ด้าน สว่าง ความทุกข์ของมนุษย์ที่หลบซ่อนในมุมมืดเองก็มีอยู่มากจนไม่อาจปฏิเสธได้ ไม่ว่าความทุกข์เหล่านั้นจะมีสาเหตุ มาจากสภาพแวดล้อม วิถีชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ เชื้อชาติ สถานะทางการเงิน ครอบครัว ความรัก รูปร่างหน้าตา ไป จนถึงความคิดภายในจิตใจ นิทรรศการนี้จึงเป็นการรวบรวมงานศิลปะที่สะท้อนถึงรูปแบบความทุกข์อันหลากหลายของ 8 ศิลปิน 16 ผลงาน

DISTOPIAN

This thought-provoking exhibition brings together a collection of works of art that delve into the various forms of human suffering, shedding light on the darker aspects of our world. As children, we are often taught that fortune smiles upon us at birth. However, it is crucial that we acknowledge the stark reality that the world encompasses more than just its bright side. Misery lurks in the shadows, and those who face financial imbalances may find themselves

burdened by the repercussions caused by others in their community.

‘Dystopian’ serves as a platform for eight talented artists, each offering their unique ideas and presentation formats, employing a diverse range of artistic techniques. This assemblage of artistic expressions encompasses paintings, sculptures, printmaking, photographs, videos, and mixed media art.

By exploring their personal encounters and areas of interest, these artists communicate their narratives through their chosen mediums, ultimately capturing the essence of their individual stories.

The exhibition ‘Dystopian’ showcases the culmination of the Master of Education program within the Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design, specifically the Department of Visual Arts. This event would not be possible without the immense dedication and artistic prowess of the participating artists: Kamonnat Wilairattanakul, Kornkanok Jakwannarat, Karn Eiamkul, Jenjira Phumdokmai, Pichamon Hanchotiphan,

Natchanon Jullamon, Dakanda Surinrd, and Anantapol Prempanichnukul.
